1:12But I want to share some things that have captivated my attention as I have been working through Revelation. There's something there that has really captivated my attention, and it'll all come together as we celebrate the Lord's table. Tonight. Matthew 26, verse 26, while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, he broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat. This is my body. And when he had taken a cup and he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom. After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Then Jesus said to them, You will all fall away because of me this night, for it is written, I will strike down the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered. But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee. As I said, it is something that has captivated my attention over the last two and a half years in the book of Revelation as we have worked through it, verse by verse. The unity of God has really captured my attention.

2:49Unity. God, three in one, three persons, one God, God the Father, God the Son. God the Spirit, all of the same essence, God, very God of God, and yet distinct persons. And we celebrate that tonight in the elements. You think about what is the Lord's Supper all about? What do these elements represent? We've got bread and we've got cup. What does all this signify? What is all this pointing to? Well, I want us to come to that. I want you to see the unity of God displayed in the elements. That's my goal tonight. I want you to see that unity so that you will commune with him tonight, so you will be strengthened in your communion with him tomorrow, that you will be reminded of the communion that we have with God as people being in Christ, and that you will be reminded of the communion, the unique communion that we have with each other. This is something that only Christians can share together. And so I want to take you through a big picture in Scripture and bring you back down to this element, to these elements and the unity that we see there in the elements.

4:30Of all, I just want to talk about the unity of God in Scripture. A lot of my attention is going to be there in Revelation just because I've been there for so long and I've been captivated by the unity that I see between the Father and the Son. It is loud, it is clear. The nice thing about Revelation is that by the time you get done with Revelation, all the prophecies that are written have been fulfilled. In many ways, Revelation gives you, it's that confluence of all the prophecies. Everything, by the time you get done there, it's done. Everything has its ending point, and many of those ending points happen in Revelation, and you get to get a glimpse of the whole panoramic of what God has been doing and really who God is.

5:27And so I was first captivated by the unity of God upon the throne. And I'm going to read to you some scriptures, and just you can jot these down. But when you come into Revelation chapter 4 and Revelation chapter 5, you get a distinct shared picture of who has dominion. Revelation 4:2, immediately when John was in the Spirit, he said, Behold, he saw a throne. I saw a throne. Was standing in heaven, and one sitting on the throne. And throughout the book of Revelation, the one sitting on the throne is God, the Lord, the Almighty, the Father.

6:13And then in Revelation 5:6, speaking about the Lamb, I saw in the midst or between the throne with the four living creatures and the elders, a lamb standing as if he had been slain. You see, the position of both God the Father and God the Son sharing this throne, a shared rulership, shared dominion, without distinction. And where one person is, the other is also. And then as you go on in Revelation 4 and Revelation 5, you recognize that there is a unity of God in as one who is worthy of worship.

6:59Revelation 4:8 says this, and the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within, and day and night they do not cease to say, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is to come. And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne, this is God the Father. To him who lives forever and ever, the 24 elders will fall down before him who sits on the throne and will worship. Worship him who lives forever and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and because of your will they existed and they were created. In other words, Lord God Almighty, Creator God, is worthy of worship because he created all things.

7:59And then in Revelation chapter 5, speaking about this lamb who looks as if he was slain. Now, what does a slain lamb look like? Hard to understand, hard to get your mind around. But Christ bears within him the marks, the scars. And if he has one scar, I can assure you he has all of them. And at one glance, you see what your God has gone through for you. And that will be an eternal reminder of the sacrifice and the incredible love behind that sacrifice.

8:43And so in Revelation 5:9, it says, and they sang a new song, saying, Worthy are you to take the book and break its seals. Worthy are you, Lamb who was slain. For you were slain and you purchased with. Your blood, men from every tribe and tongue, and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priest to our God, and they will reign upon the earth. Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and living creatures, and the elders, and the number of them was myriads upon myriads, thousands, and thousands, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. The very same thing that the Father was worthy of. So is the Lamb. So is the Son worthy of. And every created thing which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all things in them, I heard saying to him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. And the four living creatures kept saying, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshiped. You see, there is a unity of God, and it's seen in that they share in being worshipped and honored by all creation. You see that? A shared, not only is there a shared unity in dominion and rulership, but shared worthiness. Of being worshipped and honored. And that's why when Christ was worshiped, he never stopped them.

10:36Where one person is, the other is. But there's also the unity of God as being the Alpha and Omega. Interesting that in Revelation 1:8, listen to these words. I am the Alpha and Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. So here's God the Father. I am the Alpha and the Omega. And then in Revelation 1:17, when John sees Jesus, when I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. And he placed his right hand on me, saying, Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last.

11:22And then in Revelation 21:5, listen to these words. And he who sits on the throne, again, Creator, Father God, behold, I am making all things new. And he said, Write, for these words are faithful and true. Then he said to me, It is done. I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, and I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. And then shortly after, in Revelation 22, 12, clearly speaking about Jesus, listen to these words. Behold, I am coming to you. Quickly. And my reward is with me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the alpha and omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. So who's the alpha and omega?

12:16In one setting, it's God the Father clearly saying, I am the alpha and omega. And in other, at the same time, and in other very near context, here's Jesus Christ saying, I am the alpha and omega. What is that pointing to? They both share that same title because it is both who they are in essence, one God, where one person is, so is the other. They share this sovereignty. That's what the word, that's what the thought alpha and omega is about. It's about sovereignty over all things. The one who is responsible for the origin, the one who is responsible for the conclusion, alpha and omega, and the one sovereignly controlling every step in between.

13:09Your life, my life, all of history is under the sovereignty of God, who is the alpha and the omega, who started things, who will end things according to his will, and is directing everything in between. They share this sovereignty. Where one is, the other is. See the unity of God. Now, this is exciting because you're going to see this same unity in the elements you take tonight. Where one is, the other is. Speaking about origin, origins, think about the unity of God in creation. You remember going from Revelation, going all the way back to Genesis, the Alpha? Think about just about how in Genesis 1:26, we read these words: Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. God created man in his own image. In the image of God, he created him, male and female. He created them. God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

14:44There's a unity of God there in creation. Let us make man in our image. There's a share in the origin of the human race, of all creation, the purpose for creation, so that man would bear the image. Of his Creator, that destiny. So he is, there's a unity in all of creation, its origin, its purpose, and its ultimate destiny. There's also, when you step back and just start, it starts showing up everywhere. You just see as you start focusing in on it where one is the other, you start seeing the unity of God throughout. And in 1 Peter 1:1, you see the unity of God in the standard that he has for humanity. He's already said he's going to let us make man in our image. What does that image look like? Well, in 1 Peter 1:1, we read these words. Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who reside as aliens scattered throughout Pontius, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, Bithynia, who are chosen according to, get this, number one, the foreknowledge of God the Father. The called, chosen, for love by God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit. You see the Holy Spirit at work in salvation to obey Jesus Christ. There's the standard. What is God's loving will for your life is that you would conform to the standard of the perfect person, Jesus Christ. And the idea to obey Jesus Christ. Christ, you know what that means?

16:33Compliance with Jesus Christ. You see, Father, Son, Spirit all have a shared conviction about what humanity needs to be. A shared conviction. God has a conviction about what you and I need to be. And as the Alpha and Omega, He is directing all things to that conclusion. And it's also clear in unity in judging and executing wrath that also God shares that. Unity of God, you can see it in Revelation and the pouring out of wrath upon his enemies, pouring out the wrath of non-conformity to Jesus Christ.

17:30God the Father, God the Son, is going to pour out wrath upon all non-conformity to Jesus Christ. That is God's will for humanity. That is what he wants, conformity, compliance with the Son. And he pours out wrath upon all non-conformity. Yeah, God has in mind what humanity is going to be. Revelation 14:7. This is that great passage. The wine press of the great wrath of Almighty God. 4, 14, 17, and another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar, and he called out with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth. And gathered the, and so the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth. That thinking, that mentality, the vine, that earthly vine, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden out in the city, and blood came out from the wine press up to the horses' bridles for a distance of 200 miles. That's the wine press of Almighty God described there in Revelation 14. But then you turn in to Revelation 19, and the same event, same event happens, and this time it's stated differently. More detail into how God is going to bring about that great wine press moment. Revelation 19 goes into a little more detail of how that instrument and how he does it. Revelation 19:11, and I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. Horse, and he who sat on it is called faithful and true, and in righteousness he judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written on him which no one knows except himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, that is his enemy's blood, and his name is called the Word of God.

19:56And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following him on white horses. And from his mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it he may strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. And he treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God the Almighty. And on his robe and on his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of the Lords. Here's the one treading that wine press. It's the Son.

20:29So they have a sharing in pouring out wrath. Where one is, the other is. They don't separate. There's not like, okay, son, goes through that. Tell me how it goes. They are one. There is a unity in judgment. And then even in the final judgment, Revelation, that great white throne. This is that final judgment upon all non-conformity to Christ. Listen to what it says in Revelation 20, verse 11. Then I saw a great White throne and him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. And books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it. And death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them. And they were judged, every one of them, according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. And when you read just a little bit further, Revelation 21:27, it becomes clear that this is the Lamb's book of life. You see, and remember the Lamb, remember Christ saying, Look, don't be afraid of anybody who can only destroy the body. There is a second death, eternal hell, that is coming. You fear the one who can throw both your body and soul into the eternal. This first death, it's nothing. But Jesus said, it is nothing. What is to be fearful is not being in a right relationship with God and finding yourself cast out from his presence forever. Jesus says, that's what you avoid at all costs.

22:31And so, you see, this unity of God in the final judgment and the final condemnation upon each and every singular person. Just as God the Father and the Son are present in the saving of every single individual, they are present in the final judgment in condemnation. They are in unity. So, and that's just a quick flyover. You can see the unity of God throughout Scripture, where one is, the other is. Second, I want to talk to you about tonight: about the unity of God in redemption.

23:22You remember, I read 1 Peter 1:1 a little bit ago, verse 2. It says this: Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who reside as aliens, chosen, verse 2, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ, and, and, and be sprinkled with his blood. You see, there's this not only this shared conviction about what humanity needs to be, you and I need to be in compliance with. Jesus Christ. That is the only humanity that God loves, is beloved. And so he loves you, and he loves me by giving us the very best gift: that humanity that conforms to what God absolutely delights in.

24:19But he knows that, and both God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit understand what needs to happen in order for humanity to be conformed into the likeness of God the Son. Not only does the triune God have a shared conviction about what you and I need to be, but also the shared conviction of how that's going to have to happen. You must be sprinkled with his blood. And this is how redemption fits into it.

25:03God is going to have to become a man. And you see this unity of God in the incarnation. And the word, John 1:14. And the word, and in the context here, he's speaking creator God. And the word became flesh. Creator God, the one who, through whom everything came into being, who was with God and who was God. And the word. Became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw his glory. He tabernacled among us. Glory as the only begotten from the Father, full of grace, full of truth.

25:48You see, there is unity. The unity of God was there in his incarnation. To see the Son, to see Jesus in the flesh, was to see God the Father. Listen to what Philip says in John 14:8. Philip said to him, Lord, speaking to Jesus, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. And Jesus said to him, Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know me? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, show us the Father?

26:28You see, there was a shared presence. The unity of God was there, the shared presence in the body of Christ. Even in his humble state, to see Christ was to see the Father. Where Jesus is, our heavenly Father is. Where Jesus was, the Father was. Where Jesus is, the Father is. If that was true about his humble state, what do you think? The new Jerusalem is going to be like? What do you think heaven's going to be like?

27:07There's unity in the body of Christ, in His glory. Unity of God. Unity of God and His incarnation, but unity of God in His glorification. Listen to this. Revelation 21:22. I'm preaching on this coming Lord's Day, Lord willing. I saw no temple in it. Speaking of heaven, the new Jerusalem. For the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. There's a unity of God in the temple. What is that temple? The glorified flesh of Jesus Christ, the Lamb who was slain. There He is.

27:58A unified presence of God for eternity. It's the real temple. Almighty in oneness. God Almighty in oneness with the slain Lamb. You see, jeweled brick and mortar, no matter how fancy it is, cannot contain what flesh and blood of the crucified Lamb can do. And that is the eternal presence through whom we will relate to the Father. This unity of God in redemption is especially loud and clear in John 3. You remember that conversation that Jesus had with Nicodemus, John 3, 5.

28:49Jesus says to Nicodemus, unless one is born of the water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. See, the work of the Spirit. Spirit, the wind blows where it wishes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. The Spirit must do a work. Spirit is necessary, Nicodemus. A work of the Spirit. John 3:14 says this: As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that is, crucified, so that whoever believes in him will have eternal life. So you see the Spirit. You see the Son crucified in redemption. And then in John 3:16, the very next verse, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. It was the Father's love for you and I that motivated the whole enterprise of sending the Son and the work of the Spirit of opening your eyes and hearts. To the reality of these truths. So, just on John chapter 3, you can easily come away with understanding the gift of the Father is the Son.

30:12The gift of the Son is his sacrifice. And the gift of the Holy Spirit is awakening souls to the reality of these truths. See, it's not just enough for God the Father to send the Son, it's not just enough for the Son to lay down his life. The Father sent the Son who laid down his life, and it is the Spirit of God who awakens us to the realities of these truths, and it transforms us. And then we relate to God in a way that we are supposed to.

30:59Which brings us. So, you see, the unity of God in Scripture permeates the whole. It permeates the work of redemption, God active in redeeming his people. And so, naturally, this stuff, these truths show up in the elements. And that's what I want to take our attention to: the unity of God in these elements. And I'm largely going to be looking at John 6. Thoughts out of John 6, a very prominent passage about where Jesus is explaining these things. Let's talk about the bread for a moment. The bread, what is it? Well, it's the gift of the Father.

31:53John 6, 27, Jesus says, Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on him the Father God has set his seal. Therefore, they said to him, What shall we do that we may work the works of God? In other words, what has to happen? What do we need to do so that we are able to do the things that God wants us to do?

32:19Jesus answered in John 6, 29, This is the work of God, that you believe in whom he has sent. So they said to him, What then do you do for a sign so that we may see and believe? What work do you perform? Our fathers ate manna in the wilderness, as it is written. He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. Jesus then said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. The true bread. And he explains, For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven. And gives life to the world. Then they said to him, Lord, always give us this bread. The bread that comes down from heaven is what gives life to the world, gives life to humanity. Did they say, Give us this bread always? And then Jesus said this in verse 35: I am the bread of life.

33:21He who comes to me will not hunger, and he whoever believes in me will never thirst. The bread. The bread is the gift of the Father. That's what we celebrate. The body, God Himself taking up flesh, Jesus Christ, His Son, sent. Do not think the Son was the only one to make a sacrifice on the cross. No more when you think about a soldier sent off to war who gives His life on the battlefield. Don't think that He is the only one that makes the sacrifice. Think about the family.

34:03Think about the country. Think about here, same context, sending the Son into the world. And He is a good father, a loving Father, loves His Son greatly. He sent him in, and He knew what was going to happen to Him. The bread is the one who gives life to all. He sent His Son, the one who gives life to all. That's the bread. What about the Cup. Well, this is the gift of the Son. No one took his life from him. John 6:53 says this. Jesus said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. What is he saying there? Drinking his blood. That is, I am going to die. You must not only believe that the Father sent me, Messiah, King, Lord, but also that I laid down my life. You have to take in the reality that the Christ is going to lay down his life. And in John chapter 6, this just blows everybody's mind. They're like, that's not what we have in mind for a Christ. Christ is supposed to go subdue our enemies, not our sin.

35:28And so many turned away from him. But this is what Jesus is saying. The cup, what we celebrate tonight, is the sacrifice of the Son. See, the unity of God in the elements. Father sending the Son. The Son laying down his life to satisfy the demands of righteousness in his people. So we see the bread, the gift of the Lord. The Father. That's not hard to see. We see the cup, the gift of the Son. That's not hard to see either, is it? But how do we see the Holy Spirit?

36:12This is exciting. How do you see the Holy Spirit is kind of the one behind the scenes? He doesn't just jump out, but he's there. How do we see the work of the Holy Spirit in the elements? Listen to this. John 6:36. Or let me just read verse 37. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me, I will certainly not cast out. John 6:63 says this: It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

36:49And then he says this in 6, 65. And he was saying, For this reason I have said to you, No one can come to me unless it has been granted him from the Father. So the gift of the Son, God's Father gives a gift of his Son to His people. The Son lays down His life for His people. How do we see the Holy Spirit? Look around you. Look at those who are interested in partaking of this tonight. Why are you here?

37:33It is because you have been drawn by the Father. You are sitting in this room if you're in Christ tonight. And I know many of you have come out here. This is a Friday night. Many, you come here because there's an interest in these elements. You want to remember. That's a work from above. That's a work of the Spirit of God in your life. You see, it wasn't just enough for the Father to send his Son. It's not just enough for the Son to lay down his life. The Spirit of God must raise you up and make these realities true to you, awaken you to these realities. And when you get in your mind that your Creator God loves you to the same degree that He loves His perfect Son, then all of a sudden, I tell you, your life is transformed.

38:36The gift of the Spirit to awaken you to these truths. Do you know Him tonight? Friends, you're communing with the living God. That's what we celebrate here in these elements. So, with that, I would ask the men to come forward. We practice open communion here. And I would encourage you to think about these, that you come in a worthy manner. Now, let me explain what worthy manner means. It does not mean being sinless. That's what this is for.

39:19You don't come sinless, but we do come confessing our need, thirsting for what he gives. We need forgiveness. So, unrepentant sin, if you are living in unrepentant sin, repent right now. Take the elements, but don't remain in your unrepentant state. That is to be an unworthy, taking this in an unworthy, and then you become guilty of the body and blood. What does that mean? You become part of that cast of people that were his enemies. But by repenting, you become and are part of his friends. So, be repenting, be believing, be forgiving others. The idea is to seek, and what forgiving somebody else is, it's about letting the offense go, not the person. And even though I know some working through reconciling with somebody may be epic, but the point here is you be letting offense go so that. Your heart is wanting that reconciliation, and that you are moving in a trajectory of reconciliation. This is what we share together: be recognizing your fellow countrymen. He said, Your citizens in heaven, be rejoicing, be rejoicing.

40:52Luke 10: The disciples came back all excited that even the demons obeyed them. And Jesus says this in verse 20: Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven. These elements for the believer are just the fact that you're here wanting to take, that you are part of your name, is written in heaven, and that is cause for celebration. So, with that, I want the men to pass the elements, and then I want us to wait and hold them, and we will all take them together here in a moment.

41:45Coming back to Matthew 26, remember the bread depicts the body of Christ, Son. Verse 26 of Matthew 26. While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after blessing it, he broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat, this is my body. What we are saying is, Heavenly Father, we recognize that you have walked among us. We recognize your Son. You so testified to him. We know who he is. The world may see that it's just a simple, who is this Christ? Well, we see him as God come in the flesh. God himself took upon his humanity. And that is what we are confessing.

42:44And when he had taken a cup and had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. Take this. By taking the cup, we are recognizing the gift of the Son.

43:21The Father willingly gave his Son. The Son willingly gave his life. A new covenant. In which there is real forgiveness of sins. And also a promise that as he bodily took part of that bread and cup, he promised again he will bodily take that with his people once again. And so we are looking for his return. And that is what we testify: that he has come. God has sent his son. Son laid down his life. Father raised him. He seats at the right hand on high, and he is coming again.

44:13Verse 30 says, After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Then Jesus said to them, You will all fall away because of me this night, for it is written, I will strike down the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered. But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee. What happens immediately after this first Lord's table is instituted? Human failure. Crucified Jesus. Yet this doesn't undo the gift of the Father, the sacrifice of the Son, and the awakening occurs by the Spirit of God. All of The evil that Satan could muster was insufficient compared to the gift of the Father, the sacrifice of the Son, and the awakening of the Spirit of God in the hearts of his people to these realities. So Jesus rose from the dead, and subsequently, these disciples left Jerusalem in the same power and spirit as Christ had while he went up to Jerusalem. Such is the work, the gift of the Father, the sacrifice of the Son, and the application of that by the Spirit of God.

45:47It can overcome anything and everything, the world, and all the forces of evil and set against us. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, indeed, we've come before you and have communed with you by remembering these truths, remembering your unity, gift of the Father, gift of your Son, the gift of your Spirit. Father, let us go mindful that as we have communed here with you tonight, our sin has been. Dealt with, and that we have an ongoing communion with you because you have saved us and are sanctifying us into conformity of your Son. And we have communion with you. Father, may these truths be more and more alive in us.
